ALICE SPRING
This collection draws inspiration from Marina Strocchi’s artworks, translating her bold, dramatic language into textile prints through motifs adapted into repeats—featuring vertical and horizontal stripes, butis, patchworks, and abstract forms. Nature-inspired, hand-drawn lines and layered patterns reflect her expressive style. The designs are crafted using traditional block printing techniques—Rekh, Gad, and Dutta—with the discharge method and tonal color palettes. Fabrics like cotton, Chanderi, mul, soft organza, and khadi bring lightness and transparency, while flowy, textured fabrics are chosen for bottoms. The silhouettes merge Indo-Japanese influences with contemporary cuts, enhanced with layering, gathers, pintucks, piping, and fagotting for refined distinction.
